As we near Ranthambore, the town of Sawai Madhopur comes into view, which is known for its wildlife sanctuary. The Ranthambore National Park is one of India’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries, known for its tiger population. The park is spread over an area of 392 sq km and is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, wild boars, sloth bears, and more. Apart from the wildlife sanctuary, Sawai Madhopur has a lot to offer in terms of culture and heritage. The town is dotted with ancient temples and havelis, all of which are worth exploring. One can go for spotting tigers in the deep forest as well, accompanied by forest rangers.
