Kerala to Goa
Motorcycle Tour

This 14-day, 2,300+ km motorcycle journey is the ultimate deep dive into the historical, geographical, and cultural heart of South India. This expedition is not just a ride; it is a cinematic traverse from the tranquil, emerald backwaters of Kerala, through the challenging switchbacks and fragrant spice plantations of the Western Ghats, across the ancient stone ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire in Karnataka, and culminating on the sun-drenched, liberating beaches of Goa. Prepare to ride through three magnificent states, experiencing unparalleled diversity at every twist of the throttle.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kochi (Cochin International Airport)

Arrive at Kochi, Kerala's bustling port city. You will be transferred to your accommodation in the historic Fort Kochi area. The evening is reserved for the essential Tour Briefing, meeting your fellow riders, and the highly anticipated Bike Handover. Take a moment to settle in and soak up the unique atmosphere of this coastal melting pot.

Day 2: Kochi to Alleppey (60 Kms)

A short, comfortable ride down the Malabar Coast. This gentle introduction to riding in Kerala leads us to Alleppey (Alappuzha), the "Venice of the East." Check in and spend the afternoon on a mesmerizing houseboat cruise (optional) or simply relax by the famous Alleppey Backwaters. Swap the highway rumble for the gentle lap of the water.

Day 3: Alleppey to Munnar (170 Kms)

The quintessential Kerala ride. The road climbs steadily and beautifully, cutting through endless emerald tea plantations. The air grows cool and fragrant. Munnar sits at a high altitude, providing some of the most spectacular, panoramic views of rolling hills in all of India. This day features winding curves and excellent tarmac, perfect for experienced riders.

Day 4: Munnar to Ooty (240 Kms)

A long, full day in the saddle crossing into Tamil Nadu. The ride traverses varied terrain, from deep forest reserves to high mountain passes of the Nilgiri Hills. The final approach to Ooty ("Queen of Hills") is famous for its misty atmosphere and colonial charm. This route is excellent for high-speed cruising combined with technical mountain sections.

Day 5: Ooty to Masinagudi (35 Kms)

A short yet intense riding day featuring the famous Kalhatti Ghat descent, a sharp mountain drop with 36 consecutive, tight hairpin turns requiring precise braking and gear control. Arrive at the foot of the hills in Masinagudi, bordering Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. Spend the afternoon on a jungle wildlife safari or relaxing amidst the forest foliage.

Day 6: Masinagudi to Coorg (180 Kms)

Cross into Karnataka through scenic wildlife reserves where elephant and deer sightings along the road are common. The route gradually ascends into Coorg (Kodagu), winding through dense coffee, cardamom, and pepper estates with cool air and excellent road conditions.

Day 7: Coorg to Chikmagalur (150 Kms)

Head further north along the Western Ghats ridge line, connecting two of South India's famous coffee capitals. The road features pleasant single-lane state highways, rolling green hills, and sweeping turns, bringing you into Chikmagalur by early afternoon.

Day 8: Chikmagalur to Hampi (280 Kms)

The longest riding push of the trip. Descend from the green Western Ghats onto the open, dry plains of the Deccan Plateau. Cool mountain air shifts to warmer temperatures and faster highway riding. As you approach Hampi, the scenery changes into a striking landscape of red soil and giant granite boulders.

Day 9: Hampi Rest & Exploration Day

Park the bikes and spend the day exploring the vast UNESCO World Heritage Site of the 14th-century Vijayanagara Empire. Walk through ancient stone temples, royal complexes, and boulder-backed monuments, finishing with a coracle boat ride or sunset view over the landscape.

Day 10: Hampi to Badami (140 Kms)

A relaxed morning ride across flat agricultural terrain to Badami, former capital of the Chalukya Dynasty. Spend the afternoon exploring the 6th-century rock-cut cave temples carved directly into vertical red sandstone cliffs overlooking Agastya Lake.

Day 11: Badami to Goa (160 Kms)

The final major cross-state riding leg heading west toward the coast. Cross the Western Ghats one last time through dense, winding ghat passes. As you descend out of the mountains into Goa, the crisp elevation gives way to warm tropical coastal breezes and beachside roads.

Day 12: Goa (Leisure)

A full day to relax at your own pace. Spend time relaxing on the golden beaches, exploring coastal shacks, trying local Goan seafood, or taking a relaxed coastal ride along the palm-lined roads

Day 13: Goa (Leisure & Farewell)

Spend the morning visiting historic landmarks in Old Goa or shopping in Panaji. In the afternoon, complete motorcycle handovers and vehicle inspections with the crew. Gather in the evening for a final farewell dinner to celebrate the completed journey.

Day 14: Departure from Goa

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Goa International Airport (Dabolim or MOPA) for your onward flight home.
