Motorcycle Tour
An absolute titan of a trans-Himalayan journey, this 15-day itinerary drops you straight into the dual hearts of Nepal's most legendary riding zones: Upper Mustang and the Annapurna Circuit.
This route trades open plateaus for raw verticality. You will trace the deep gorges of the Kali Gandaki River, ascend into the ancient, walled forbidden kingdom of Lo Manthang near the Tibetan border, and then loop back around to conquer the rugged, waterfall-lined trails leading up to Manang. It is an intense, high-altitude test of machine and rider through the deepest canyons on earth.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Welcome to the city of temples! Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where our team will greet you and transfer you to the group hotel. Spend the afternoon sorting out your paperwork and permits. In the evening, gather for a comprehensive briefing to meet your crew, review the route mechanics, and enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (Approx. 200 km)
Fire up the engines and navigate the chaotic exit from Kathmandu valley before hitting the Prithvi Highway. The road snakes along the roaring Trishuli River, offering a mix of smooth tarmac and busy highway traffic. As you head west, the jagged, snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range pop up on the horizon. Arrive in the lakeside paradise of Pokhara by late afternoon.
Day 3: Pokhara to Lete (Approx. 120 km)
The tarmac disappears today as you leave Pokhara behind and head toward the gateway of the Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. The road transitions into rugged dirt, loose gravel, and boulder-strewn tracks. Ride past crashing waterfalls and through the dusty town of Beni, climbing steadily alongside the river to reach the alpine pine forests of Lete.
Day 4: Lete to Muktinath (Approx. 70 km)
A spectacular, dusty ride deeper into the rain shadow of the Himalayas. You'll pass through Marpha (famous for its apple orchards) and Jomsom's wind-swept valley before beginning a steep, switchback climb. The pine trees drop away, replaced by bare, desert-like mountains. Arrive at Muktinath (12,343 ft), a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, framed by towering peaks.
Day 5: Muktinath to Lo Manthang (Upper Mustang) (Approx. 90 km)
Today, you officially cross the checkpoint into the restricted, ancient kingdom of Upper Mustang. The terrain transforms completely into a striking, wind-carved desert of yellow and red canyons, dotted with ancient cave dwellings. Navigate narrow dirt tracks, steep ascents, and river crossings over high-altitude passes to reach the legendary walled city of Lo Manthang near the Tibetan border.
Day 6: Explore Lo Manthang
Give the bikes a rest and step back in time. Spend the day exploring the centuries-old, white-washed mud-brick walls of Lo Manthang. Visit ancient royal palaces, historic monasteries dating back to the 14th century, and interactive local schools. For an adventure, take a short ride or pony trek to the nearby Chhoser caves, a massive multi-story cliff dwelling complex.
Day 7: Lo Manthang to Kagbeni / Jomsom (Approx. 100 km)
Turn your bikes south and retrace your path down the spine of Mustang. Descending through the massive canyon walls, you'll face intense afternoon headwinds blowing up the valley floor. Ride down to Kagbeni, a fascinating, medieval Tibetan-style fortress village that serves as the gateway to Upper Mustang, before settling into Jomsom for the night.
Day 8: Kagbeni / Jomsom to Pokhara (Approx. 160 km)
Prepare for a long, demanding day in the saddle as you descend from the high-altitude desert back to the sub-tropical valleys. Tackle the bumpy, bone-jarring off-road sections of the Kali Gandaki gorge one last time. As you approach Beni, the road turns back to tarmac, allowing for a smooth, relaxing evening cruise back into Lakeside Pokhara.
Day 9: Pokhara – Rest Day
A well-earned rest day to recharge after the demanding tracks of Mustang. Sleep in, get a massage, laundry your riding gear, or relax at a lakeside café. If you're still looking for a thrill, Pokhara is world-famous for paragliding, or you can take a peaceful boat ride across Phewa Lake.
Day 10: Pokhara to Tal (Approx. 130 km)
Today, you switch gears to conquer the other side of the Annapurna range. Ride along the highway to Besisahar, which marks the start of the rugged Annapurna Circuit route. The trail becomes a narrow ledge carved directly into vertical cliffs. Cross suspension bridges and ride past towering waterfalls to reach Tal, a beautiful village tucked away on a flat, sandy riverbed at the foot of a giant waterfall.
Day 11: Tal to Manang (Approx. 65 km)
Don't let the short distance fool you, this is a wild, technical mountain ride. The trail climbs steeply through pine forests, rocky choke points, and cliffside paths with massive drop-offs. The landscape opens up dramatically into a wide alpine valley as you pass through Pisang, culminating in your arrival at the ancient stone village of Manang (11,545 ft).
Day 12: Rest and Exploration in Manang
A vital day to acclimatize and soak in the raw mountain views. Take a short hike to the pristine Gangapurna glacial lake or explore the old, narrow stone alleys of Manang village. The views of Annapurna II, III, and Gangapurna towering directly above the valley are absolutely unforgettable.
Day 13: Manang to Besisahar (Approx. 100 km)
Time to head down the mountain. Leaving Manang, enjoy a long, thrilling downhill ride back through the rugged terrain of the Marshyangdi River valley. Gravity is on your side, but you'll need to stay focused through the steep, wet rocky steps and water crossings. Arrive back in the bustling hub of Besisahar by late afternoon.
Day 14: Besisahar to Kathmandu (Approx. 185 km)
The final day on the road. Rejoin the main highway and enjoy the smooth tarmac as you wind your way back east toward the capital city. The air gets thicker and warmer as you descend. Arrive in Kathmandu, turn in your bikes, and gather with your fellow riders for a grand Farewell Dinner to celebrate completing an incredible dual-circuit Himalayan expedition.
Day 15: Departure
Enjoy your final breakfast in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you can squeeze in some last-minute shopping in Thamel for souvenirs and gear. Our team will arrange your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home, bringing a memorable close to your epic journey.
